When Khushboo Rasaily, founder of Delhi-based architecture and interior design studio Platform Design, set out looking for a new office, she drew up a wish list. She needed a space with an open plan that would foster interactions between members of her team. It would also have to be a child-friendly zone where her two-year-old daughter would feel welcome. She eventually zeroed in on an empty, 1,200-square-foot basement with little lighting and transformed it into a serene, minimalist studio with public and semi-private workspaces, a conference room, reading room, pantry, library, and breakout area. “We opened up the site to let more natural light in and took advantage of the existing double height spaces,” she explains.
