The creation of the new rebated doors not only mean enhanced security in line with PAS24, but wider benefits of enhanced weather sealing and performance.

Key features of the new double doors include:

          Double Gasket for improved performance

Double rebate to conceal and protect hardware

Equal cylinders – Double door and single will match

Coastal’s unique single pass machine block is available for this product

The new double doors extend Coastal’s increasingly popular Part Q Compliance system, following on from the highly the highly popular lower density Accoya achieving the PAS24 certification, a development the company believes is an industry-first.

Coastal’s ground-breaking Part Q compliance system enables firms to use the company’s own generic Part Q certified products to manufacture officially UKAS tested and certified doors and windows in line with PAS24 without having to pay to have their own windows and doors tested.

According to Coastal Director Loren Jenner the addition of the double doors to the PartQ Pas 24 product portfolio adds greater variety for the trade.

“Our PartQ compliance system has really grown in popularity since we launched it at the start of the year and we are delighted that our investment in creating a range of PartQ compliant products are delivering hassle-free solutions for the trade when it comes to compliance.

“We can now offer a complete range with windows, single doors and now double doors that are all PAS24 compliant” said Loren.

Anyone wanting to use the Part Q certification system simply needs to go through a straight forward four step application process which can be found on the Coastal website – – and pay a one off charge per product.

Once approved customers are provided with everything they need to be Part Q compliant including a Compliance Guide Manual, a certificate per product type and window stickers enabling building inspectors to quickly and effectively see that the windows and doors supplied are Part Q compliant.
